I am a happy airtel dth customer with 1 year infinity pack worth rs 5500/- subscription and there was a huge fire broke out at our home, gutted all to ashes. I requested to airtel's fb page informing that about the incident and to replace/install a new set retaining my old connection number which was "[protected]". They accepted my complain and created a service request/ticket # 62270775, after that i received a call from another airtel customer care officer informing that i have to provide the damage set-top box to replace, i replied since it was all burnt i wont be able to provide the damage set-top box.
Again i received another call from airtel customer care from +91-[protected], he suggested me to get a new airtel dth connection by paying rs[protected]Approx) and remaining package from my old connection (300days+) can be transfer to the new connection. I agreed and ordered a connection online - new customer connection/id = [protected].
When i was contacted by my local distributor team about installing the new connection, they said transferring the package thing cannot be done/not possible from the distributor side. Then i thought if i get a new connection and later the transfer process doesn't happen???
I need someone from airtel side in writing about the package transferring process or please replied here so that i can go ahead to install the new connection.
