20 months back i bought a new handset from apple and got it insured by airtel secure for two years as per there promises and advertisements. Few months back my phone was damaged and was claimed through airtel secure and got replaced as apple has a policy to replace the phone instead of repair during the warranty period. So i was provided with new imei number and recently my phone got damaged again but the airtel team is not ready to claim my handset saying that imei is different. After the the first claim none of the team has informed me to update the imei so how i’m suppose to know what’s the next step. Now they have closed this case and after my complaint their customer service representative said that this offer was only for one year which was claimed by the company for two as per their websites application and advertisements but they have been charging monthly charge for that. If the service for just one year so how can they charge me for 8 months extra? This is a lie by customer service executive whose phone number is +[protected].
See i have been with airtel for more than 10 years now to infact my alternate number is also by the same network but this is my first time when i’m experiencing any cheating by the company.
My points are:
1. If imei was to be updated then why no one informed me about that and rejected my claim because of this.
2. Customer service executive lied that the service was for one year but charged monthly subscription charge after one year.
