As per the initial intimation provided by airtel, channel choice was to be registered by 31.01.19.
Accordingly, i had exercised my channel choice for airtel dth id [protected] on 30.01.19 (Tariff rs. 352/ 28 days). It was supposed to be active from 01.02.2019, however, due to some technical glitch from their end it took extra 10 days for the customized plan to be activated. I had to bear the extra cost due to their delay. After a few days it was noticed that once again airtel changed my pack to some "best fit plan" without my consent (Tariff rs. 465/28 days), as a result my dth services got prematurely suspended in 20 days. Firstly, on what basis can they change the plan of consumers who had already exercised their channel choice? If trai keeps on extending the deadline the same consumer is not supposed to register his choice again and again. Secondly, airtel is simply delaying to activate the customized pack to tap extra money through unfair means. Thirdly, this time they are not processing the pack change request. Fourthly, the customer support is not helpful. There is no point of exercising channel choice in airtel dth as they have retorted to malpractice, harasssing consumers and forcing them to view useless free channels at an extra cost.
