My postpaid number is pending for activation for 4 days now after a sim upgrade. Called customer care 10+ times. Visited airtel retail stores 4 time in total. Issue has not been resolved still.
Here is the chronology of events:
[[protected] ] 11:30am - visited airtel store to convert from postpaid to prepaid. Completed the formalities and got a new sim.
[[protected]] 12:30pm - received a call from airtel with an offer to retain me in postpaid. I accepted the offer. I was told the conversion to prepaid will be cancelled.
[[protected]] 1.00pm - i went to the airtel store to upgrade to a 4g sim. The airtel store gave me a new sim.
[[protected]] 3.30pm - my old sim got deactivated. New sim was not activated
[[protected]] 5.30 pm - visited airtel kasturi nagar, bangalore and enquired about the sim not being activated. I was asked to wait for an hour.
[[protected]] 7.30 pm - visited airtel kasturi nagar, bangalore and enquired about the sim not being activated. I was told it will get activated before midnight.
[[protected]] 10.00am - called airtel customer care from a different number and enquired about activation. The floor supervisor promised resolution within 24 hours.
[[protected]] 3.30pm - took a new airtel prepaid connection as i started suspecting that the issue may not get resolved anytime soon.
[[protected]] 10.00am - sim still not activated. Called airtel customer care and enquired about activation. Was promised that it has been escalated with highest priority and should get resolved by 10.00pm.
[[protected]] 10.30pm - sim still not activated. Called airtel customer care and enquired about activation. The floor manager promised resolution at the earliest.
[[protected]] 11.30pm - sim still not activated. Visited airtel stores kasturi nagar and enquired about activation. The customer care executive spoke with someone and promised resolution within 2 hours. Took his mobile number to enquire incase the resolution doesnt happen.
[10-04=2018] 2.00pm - sim still not activated. Called up the customer care executive. He promised to call me back in 15 minutes.
[[protected]] 3.00pm - since there was no callback from the executive, called him again. He promised resolution within 30 minutes.
[[protected]] 4.30pm - sim still not activated. Called the customer care executive. He disconnected my called. Called him around 5 to 6 times every 5 minutes. After being fed up, he picked the call and said he cannot do anything about it and that i have to wait for some more time.
[[protected]] 6.30pm - lost hope that the kasturi nagar branch executive would resolve the problem. Visited airtel koramangala stores. The customer care executive gave me a new sim and promised that it will get activated within 2 to 4 hours.
[[protected]] 10.30pm - sim still not activated. Called up customer care and the same old answer that it will get resolved within a day.
[[protected]] 5.15am - called up customer care. Since the servers were down, the status cannot be checked was the answer from the executive.
