[Resolved] Akbar Travels — Refund for Cancelled flight by airline

Hello,
I have booked a ticket from Mumbai to Austin, Texas USA via Delhi and San Francisco for my nephew. The journey scheduled on 7.03.2022. But due to war between Ukraine and Russia and restrictions to use airspace he flight was cancelled by the airline. So, I contacted Akbar travel for alternate flight, but it was not available and hence they asked to send an email and cancel the booking which i did immediately. Then I got the email that it will take 90 to 120 days to get the refund. So, I contacted the airline and asked them about refund status on my booking. I got the reply that it was initiated and will be credited in 7 days form the date of complaint. Again I contacted Akbar travels but got the same answer.

Now as per the airline refund is credited to Akbar travels account but still no response from Akbar travels.

Please help.

Received refund within a week after launching the complaint. Got communication from registered email id.

Akbar Travels customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

Please allow us some time as we are coordinating with the airline in regards to refund. As soon as we get refund from airline, we will process the same in passenger's account.

We have initiated refund from our end. The same will reflect in your account statement depending upon your bank policy.

We’ve noticed that it takes about 7-10 working days for most refunds to hit their respective accounts.
