I went for Asianet Broadband conenction on 4/Dec/2020. I was told the initial payment of 1500 covers the modem charges and installation charges.
The connection remained unstable. And hence I decided to disconnect it on 21/Jan/2020. I emailed asianet, and got an acknowledgement from them. By then I had made all the payment till 31/Jan/2020. A total of Rs. 3032.72 was paid just for 48 days o[censored]sage.
Instead of honouring the disconnection request, Asianet generated a bill for me on Feb/2021. The modem was returned as per their request. But there was no refund of the initial 1500 paid.
The issue was raised to the nodal officer and the appetite authority. But no response.
The questions I asked
1) Why bill me in Feb when TRAI has clearly stated that such billing is illegal. Note I raised the disconnect request 10 days before the end of Jan/2021.
2) Why I was misled about the modem. And where is the inital 1500 I paid.
