Berger Paints — Poor quality of services

I had booked express painting service from berger paints on 1st august 2020 for my new flat. I got a message from berger that my request ld[protected] has been registered and it can be tracked on app which is available only for android users. I use an apple phone and don't have access to this app. After few days i got call from narasimha who came for site inspection. I gave him the color code and asked him to use same color and do a single coat painting as the builder had already given one coat. He said that we have to use bison emulsion as that is the one that has been used and other type of paint cannot be used. Next day he sent me quotation on paper with berger logo.in the quotation, he gave for both bison emulsion as well as easy clean. I confirmed with him if easy clean can be used on the existing paint and he said yes. I said that if that is the case, i am ready to go with easy clean as it is washable. I confirmed the job date for 26th august, 2020 and paid 8000 via google pay linked to his mobile number on 25th august 2020. Because i don't have the app and i had not contacted any other dealers/services, i assumed that narasimha is the person whom berger paints assigned to my job. I was moving in on 28th august 2020. Despite being busy, i had visited the site to check on the painting work. After first room itself, i had called narasimha to inform him that the job being done is not neat and color is also different. I told the painter also to do a neat job. But there was no change in the way the work was done. At around 5.15 pm, narasimha called me and said that i have to go to the site as work is done. I told him that i had left the flat half an hour before and there was a lot more to paint and also that the painting was very shabby. But he insisted that i visit the site. Upon reaching the site, i noticed that none of the corners were fixed with putty which i asked to be done as there was some damage during interiors work. And also painting in the kitchen didn't even start. The painter didn't even have an extra bucket to mix his paint. I told narasimha that he has to come to the site and check the work done as i was not satisfied with it. But the painter continued with his shabby work and narasimha was arguing with me on the phone. I told him that i don't want the painter to continue as he is doing a very bad job. Upon saying this narasimha demanded that i pay the remaining amount which is rupees 6322. I asked him for the bill and he said that nobody gives bill for painting. When i said i won't pay anything more than that was already paid, i was threatened by narasimha that he will complain on me in labor union. After a lot of heated conversation i paid the painter 2100 cash and asked him to leave. Later i have taken someone else's android phone and installed the app to actually check the paint job status. To my surprise, i saw that narasimha is not the person who is assigned for my job. The person actually assigned was maddi naveen. I immediately called him and asked him to visit the site. Upon visiting the site, naveen confirmed that he had sent narasimha. But the painting job is not undertaken by berger paints as i have requested for a single coat. None of this was informed to me at any point of time. Naveen said that he will get the job rectified. He sent another painter after 8 days who was again not from berger paints and set my request status in the app to "lost to competition". Upon asking him, naveen said that he will get the whole job rectified separately and i had to pay the remaining 4222 rupees as i had already paid narasimha 10100 (Google pay + cash). But because the painting is not being done by directly by berger paints, i said i want my money back as i was never informed about any of the terms or conditions or even called by naveen. I had completely lost my trust in the company. If i wanted to get it done from any painter, i would have gotten the entire job done at a much lesser price by purchasing the paint myself and hiring a local painter. I was not happy because i wanted a very neat job for my new home and that is why i approached a professional company like berger directly. I never said that i don't want a bill or don't want to pay gst. And to have everything smooth, i approached berger paints directly. Till date i have not received my money back. And i am having to spend double the amount for lesser quality paint to get the job rectified. Below are my complains: 1. The color used was different than the color requested for. 2. No bill 3. Berger paints executive did not call me until i called him and sent some unskilled person for site inspection 4. The terms and conditions like single coat not handled by company was not informed to me before the job started. 5. Easy clean colors are different than bison emulsion. 6. I have called berger paints helpline twice to raise a complain. But they did not even take my complain officially and i was asked to deal with naveen.
