I have provided standing instruction to Airtel using my standard charted credit card for Bill payment.
In december , My card got expired and Airtel person called me and told to provide new Standing instruction with xerox copies of front and back of my credit card. Airtel sent a person to collect this in 22/11/07 and I provided these details to that person. In January first week 2008 , I got call from airtel saying that they didn't received the documents that I have provided to their representative.
After that I had more than 20 mail communication and I made around 15 customer care calls but still no one knows where the credit card xerox sheets went. The important thing they are not able to understand is that if the back side of credit card falls in to some one hand , they can misuse my credit card.
Finally today I went to Airtel Head office in Bannergatta Road, Bangalore and the security posted there told me that office has shifted to Arekere Gate. I went there also. Then the customer care person told me that I have to go back to head office in Bannergatta Road and they will tell me that where the documents are now.
I don't know what type of customer care this is. Airtel should change the name to Customer Dare service.
The following were my experience with airtel customer care ( emails, 121 call and the direct customer care center),
1. They don't know to read the mail written in English. Once one customer care replied to me saying that we understand that you are talking about rate plan change. We need below documents.
2. Another mail reply on the document missing was that, please give the xerox of credit card once again and they sent me a list of places where I can give this. Don't know whether they want me to give xerix to all Airtel office in Bangalore or not.
3. Once when I called on 121, the girl put me on hold for half an hour saying that she will tranfer it to her manager who will answer my concern and never turned back.
4. Two times they cut the calls.
5. Arekere Airtel office , they were confused on what to do with my complaints. It looks like no one knows what to do when a complain arises or whom to contact for fixing the issues.
Because of their irresponsible behavious and because even after one month , they didn't find out where my document went, I cancelled my credit card. SCB told me that they will charge 200 rupees for new card.
Unless Airtel pay that money, I will not make airtel bill payment.
Do any one know any government complain cell where I can complain agaist Airtel.

Xerox — Credit card
Dear Sir,I have an account with ICICI bank which I have taken on 2007 oct: After few months I have applied for credit card also. Some varification came to me in one month time. But still I have not received any card or atleast any feed back from your side. Being a company like ICICI which is first in customer satisfaction, I can't even imagine the worst support which you have given me for the same.
