Dear Sir
I was holding postpaid airtel connection bearing number [protected] My customer relationship no. is[protected]. This connection was activated for 2 years under advance rental plan system on on 15 05 2007 vide receipt no. 1734 at Pratham the franchise of Airtel. The validity period of this plan was up to 19 05 2009. After that I have neither applied for renewal nor given any consent to extend the connection. I understand that without the permission of the customer the plan would automatically get terminated no bill would be levied to the customer. However I am getting the bill for last two months of this connection which I am not using at all. I have been issued two bills as under
1 Bill no.[protected] for the period of 02 May to 01 Jun 2009 for the amount of 144.00
2 Bill no.[protected] for the period of 02 June to 01 July 2009 for the amount of 298.18
I sent the mail to the nodal officer of Airtel regarding this. As per him the services has been extended further & you will have to pay the bill for this period. It is mendatory to give written request in case you want to cancel the connection. I cannot understand that hoe a service provider can extend his services without the consent of a consumer
Please look into matter do needful.
