I am a car insurance policy holder in ICICI LOMBARD and I desperately need a
> clarification from your organization regarding the motor
> policy wording.
>
> .
>
> All the motor policies in India has one line in their policy:
> "The insured vehicle shall be treated as a CTL if the aggregate cost
> of retrieval and / or repair of the vehicle, subject to terms and
> conditions of the policy, exceeds 75% of the IDV of the vehicle."
>
> My car recently got damaged in an accident.
>
> The total cost of repair is coming out to be greater than 75% of the
> IDV.
>
> However, out of the total cost of repair, the insurance company's
> liability, after deducting depreciation, is coming out to be less than
> 75% of the IDV.
>
> Can you please let me know whether my case should be considered as a
> total loss or not?
>
> No one from the ICICI Lombard insurance company is replying to my question and their
> grievance redressal process is not working. None of the higher up
> people have replied to my mail. Was this information helpful? |
