I ordered a car stereo from Naaptol.com hoping that their price (Rs 2300 incl delivery) would ensure a decent product. When the package arrived by bluedart, I asked the courier to wait while I opened the package in front of him to confirm the items. He refused, saying that bluedart has nothing to do with naaptol's quality of service.
When I took the package for installation in my car, the car stereo would NOT EVEN FIT in the slot meant for stereo. It was TOO BIG for the slot! Then, I was shown that the speakers provided along with the stereo were deformed prior to packaging. The sound quality of the stereo (Cizer brand) was atrociously bad. The reception was bad too. And the USB drive functioned in a moody fashion - often not working at all.
The "gift" pen drive they provided was junk - it was "locked" and I couldnt put any file on it! I tried reformatting it, but no success. And it was mechanically unsound too as the USB point would slide into its plastic rather than the receiving socket.
I called Naaptol.com many time, and got through twice. Each time they told me that since I had waited more than 24 hours from receiving the product, they would not reimburse me! And this "policy" was nowhere mentioned either in their ads or on the delivery package!
I told them that the local dealer refused to pay Rs 500.00 for their package for which I had paid Rs 2300.00. They just laughed mockingly at me and told me to get lost!
This is insane, even for a fraudulent deal!
Naaptol.com seems to be an ugly enterprise for ripping off people who cannot do anything but yell on the phone to them. Was this information helpful? |
