VSNL — bad service
I AM USING THIS SERVICE FROM MORE THAN 2 YEARS BUT FROM LAST 2 MONTHS THEY ARE NOT LISTENING ME I AM FEELING LOOTED BECAUSE I PAID ABOUT Rs.2400.BUT THEY ARE SAYING THEY WILL NOT PROVIDE MY MONEY BACK.[protected]@vsnl.net
VSNL Broadband — Poor service and not dependable
In Cohin the service is of VSNL has become very bad and unreliable.. they are following the style of Govmt enterprises and taking the customers for granted.VSNL is a TATA Group company. We are using their service for the past many years. Earlier the service was very good. They even reduced the bill proportionately for the time when the connection was not available for customers who were in unlimited plan.
Now a days the connection is not available at least half a day in every week and it gets disconnected three or four times in a day. For the last one week the problems has reached its peak and the connection is getting lost in every two or three minutes. Even if you complaint daily, calling their call centre in Hyderabad or some where you will have to contented with a complaint number that all!!
Many companies can't change the service as it will result in change of email address and create problems with communication with customers sometimes spread across internationally.
This is too pity
VSNL Broadband — Frequent loss of connectivity
In cochin we have been using VSNL for more than one decade, started using it before it was privatised. The service was better than now even though it was a Govt company!! There is regular and frequent loss of connectivity many a times during the day sometimes manytimes in one hour and complaints are go into vague as they are indifferent to adress the grivances of customers. I have got dozens of complaint numbers with me and when asked about the action taken they use to replay that the file is closed as sombody reported them that the problem has resolved!! Even though they are having and also asking everitime we make a complaint about the contact number they never call in that number and takes the feed back from some unknown persons!!!.They are doing this because customers finds it difiicult to change the service provider as this will result in change of email address, which creates lot of problems. This is a kind of blackmailing. to a great extend the customers are helpless but plead for the mercy of the concerned staff of the ISP. We need to find some solution to this injustice and arrogance of ISPs and customers need to join together to protect their interest.
I welcome and request others who face similar issued from thier respective ISPs

VSNL Broadband — Denied the broadband connection for location change
I have been using unlimited VSNL broadband since June 2008. I have requested for a location change and after 50 phonecalls of following up, they said they will not provide it in the new location. The reason they said1 they can provide only 500mts from their instrument which is 700 mts from the proposed location.
2 They can give the connection but the maintance is difficult.
We found out that the same person who denied has given connection to another house which is 100 mts from our house.
Now, I do not have any option even to complain to VSNL higher officials.
If anyone knows how to move ahead with this situation, please advise.
