I had an consignment (Shipment ID: [protected]) being delivered to my city. Consignment base cost is INR 1739 and DHL shipping charges is also around INR 1463. It was a shock when DHL asked me to pay INR 3070 as duties and taxes (three times the base cost of my shipment)
I contacted DHL CUSTOMER care and Mr. Tejpal Singh was involved on 20-July-21 and till date i do not have confirmation whether duties were to be paid by me. In his last email he informed that 'Hence as per process now, we are checking with the sender for final instructions and will not be disturbing you for any sort of payment'.
Meanwhile I was also following with Mr. Piyush Kshtriya (Operations) in my city. Now this person is so arrogant and useless that he never speaks to CUSTOMER care guy for feedback. I have been following up with him since several days and told me to that he is still checking.
On 02-Aug-21 when i asked him to check the internal status, Piyush arrogantly denied to check with his own colleague Mr. Tejpal saying that he was from Operations and doesn't speak to anyone. Not sure if he is CEO of the company. He further informed me that he has instruction to destroy my consignment without my consent.
I am absolutely unhappy with DHL employees (Piyush) 3rd class behavior. He behaved like an old government company employee where they do no speak to other internal departments colleague and moreover threatened me to destroy the consignment that contains a toy i purchased for my daughter birthday.
As of now, worried that that ### may destroy my consignment, i have paid the duties and i expect my consignment to receive today.
I need feedback from DHL management what action they have taken against Piyush for such behaviors and Tejpal for being lethargic in responding to me and talking to his colleague. Was this information helpful? |
