On 6th november, 2019 i had booked three return tickets for goa and made an online payment of 26, 376 for return tickets to goa. i had made a booking on vistara and indigo for 3 passengers and as soon as the payment was made, the page vanished without any confirmation. I did not hear from the portal, till i called the customer service, who said that payments take 40 minutes sometimes to be actioned. If the confirmation wasnt made, the payment would be refunded but even after 3 hours i did not receive any decline in payment or confirmation.
The money was withdrawn from the account.
When i called in, i was given details of my tickets, but was told the payment was pending due to fare difference inr 4000/ and i had to reissue the ticket amount and the initial payment which was taken would be returned after 40 days.
When i raised an alarm about this, they quickly reverted saying we can change your flight and pushed the cheaper fare of indigo on me.
The amount they deducted from my account was 26, 376 but put me on the indigo flights that came to 26, 094. the first flights had meals included and refundable tickets, the later ones had no meals covered. The staff promised to include it in.
What is strange is that the portal still shows my initial flight details and payment invoice, however the portal sent me both flight confirmations however the pnr number doesnt work for the vistara flight but only the indigo ones. The wallet has no credit of my excess fare returned.
