Return flight newark-mumbai (Ua 48- 4th july, 2019) was cancelled by united airline. No intimation was given either by the airline or the travel agent regarding cancellation of flight thereby causing great inconvinience to us and upsetting our schedule. We had to travel by another flight (Swiss air) on 7th july, 2019.
Refund request was made on 3rd july, 2019 to united airlines and to travel agent easemytrip on 15 july, 2019. Refund has not yet been received. As per easemytrip, refund has not yet been given by united airlines and hence it can not be given. Purchase of ticket was made by credit card, and as per the policy of the united airlines, refund should have been given in 7 business days. When contacted, united airlines customer care advised that the refund was granted on 3rd july, 2019 under confirmation code “hcjr4d”. Easemytrip denies that refund has been received.
This is unreasonable and unjustified delay in giving refund. Refund should be given without further delay alongwith applicable fine/penalty. Was this information helpful? |
