Edureka — Rejection of My Refund Request

I enrolled for the course "Full Stack Web Development Internship Program" in Edureka Website on 13th August 2021. I was initially contacted by Mr Shiladitya from the admissions team of Edureka. He sounded very friendly and sweet and was very helpful (or so I thought). I paid 1000 as security deposit after attending a demo session conducted by your firm on 11th August 2021. Mr. Shiladitya suggested the seats very less and must pay the security deposit to get the seat as early as possible. I asked so many things regarding the course and had so many doubts at the very beginning itself. And always he was convincing me to pay the full payment and refer the course to my friends too. He skipped many important information like the terms and condition especially the refund policies of Edureka. He was always telling about the limited seats available, and I was unaware about these things. My friend Abhijith also joined as I suggested this course to him. I got a referral reward of 1000 rupees which was deducted from my course fees. I paid 15500 rupees on 13th August 2020 to join the course. I joined 24th batch of Full Stack Web Development Internship Program after the successful payment. I paid a total of 16500 rupees to join the course.
Mr. Kiran, the one who has taken the demo session on 11th August 2020 has told on the session many tech like react, react native, git, aws etc will be taught on this course. I was excited about the course content that would be covered during the entire course period. They said that the classes are taken on weekend days that's Saturday and Sunday.
I attended the first class on 15th August 2020, at 3pm. Mr.Neeraj was our instructor. I noticed many things are missing When Mr Neeraj showed us course content during the first class. When I asked about this to Mr.Neeraj, He said that's not included in this course.
Then I suddenly contacted Mr.Shiladitya and enquired about this. He said that Mr.Neeraj is new instructor and He doesn't know about the course content. But I was little confused with his reply. I checked the LMS when I got the credentials, but surprisingly the Course Content was not visible. Hence, I enquired about this on the telegram group which was created for our batch. Then one of the students has given me the link to access the course content, with that link I got the course content. Then I came to know that this course does not include aws, git, react native etc. Then immediately I contacted Mr.Shiladitya and said about these things and requested for a refund as the course is not as I thought and it’s more over for a beginner in Web Development. That was on 15th August 2020, "2 days" after the of payment of the fees. Then He again convinced me saying that I must attend 2-3 classes to get the refund which will be conducted during weekends. I was unaware of refund policies and terms and condition of Edureka at that time, because he didn't even mention about these things during that time.
So, as He suggested I waited for another 6 days to attend the classes. After attending those couple of classes on 22nd and 23rd of August, I clearly understood that this course is for extreme beginners and not an intermediate like me. The fun fact is When I asked that whether the "Master" program or "Internship" is better before joining the Internship course. At that time also he convinced me saying that Internship program has more live classes and a lot more things are covered in the internship course. So, After first refund request on the day 2, I again requested for a refund on 9th day of joining. He was very hesitant and again started to convince me, but I strongly asked for a refund, Then He asked me to contact Admin of our Batch’s Telegram group which is Created by Edureka Team.
I contacted Mr.Azhar and said I want to opt out due to these reasons, But He told me refund is not possible as the days to refund money is exceeded. I got shocked after hearing this.
Note that Mr Shiladitya hasn’t told anything about the refund policies or to raise ticket in the support form of Edureka on day 3 when I requested or day 9 when I again asked for the refund. Fun fact is he always asked me to pay the fees first, he never said anything related to these stuff.
Then Mr.Swapnil, Sales Manger of Full Stack Development, has called me after so many requests that raised to Mr.Azhar and Mr.Shiladitya. He told about these polices and said can not refund my money. If I need a refund, I must get a new person instead of me to join the same course. He even offered exclusive courses and other offers. But I refused everything. Because I need a refund and I was not happy with the course content and teaching methods of the instructor. Then he told me that He’ll sort out of my problem after discussing with the management within two days. That was on 7th August. He also failed to mention about complaint ticket in the support form. Now two days are over.Its 9th August, today! He’s not picking up my calls, even Mr.Shiladitya and Mr.Azhar……
These all conversations have been made through WhatsApp, Telegram and Telephone conversation because Before Joining also they communicated with WhatsApp and Telephone conversations.
Because of These disaster experience Edureka Team, I contacted their customer care, after I explained everything, they suggested me to raise a ticket. Mr Junaid, whose is a customer experience manager has told me so.
During these times None of Edureka’s team member other than Mr.Junaid has told about the ticket. If Mr.Shiladiya has told me about this on day 3 of my joining this problem could have resolved earlier. Instead he suggested me attend some more classes. He was clearly known that if I couldn’t raise a complaint through a formal mail or ticket, I won’t get a refund. Now I understood that.
I request The Edureka Team resolve my problem as soon as possible and give me a refund as I asked for the refund second day itself. I have a request that please ask the students to go through your terms and conditions before joining. Please do what is needful!
