[Resolved]  Fortis Healthcare — Complaint against Navjot Kaur Physiotherapy

I was seen by Dr Manit Arora on 17th April 2023 at Fortis Hospital Mohali.
I sustained injury to my ankle and foot on 20th March 2023.
I was reviewed by a Sports Consultant to advised me to wear an Aircast boot, which I started to do since my appointment. I had to travel to India on an urgent basis in the second week of April 2023 to Chandigarh and since I was going to be in India. I on the advice of a Doctor friend decided to see Dr Manit Arora. The medication the doctor had advised was available from a particular chemist only. So that my treatment could continue in India. He prescribed some medications and advised me to go in for Physiotherapy with Dr Navjot Kaur. However after the first session of physio during which I was made to do a number of exercises. The situation had deteriorated significantly and it does appear that something snapped during the time of physio. I informed the physio about this and requested her to seek advice from Dr Manit Arora on an urgent basis. However, she was more interested in asking for her payment and did not get back to me with the advice seeked. I am really disappointed at the treatment I received at Fortis by Dr Manit. The assessment just lasted for a few minutes and appeared to be quite rushed. Infact the Physio attributed the pain to me not taking any precautions and blamed me for severe deterioration and did not take responsibility for what had happened.Retrospectively I am thinking that why Dr Manit did not guide the physiotherapy what should have been avoided during the physiotherapy sessions. As I believe that the sideways movement which she made me do has aggravated my situation. She coming to the UK, I have been reviewed by the Ortho Surgeon again and they had advised that I should not have been advised to go in for physiotherapy at this stage at all. Infact, I had managed the flight to India quite well and I was also managing to walk with much problems. However, now I am struggling even with the Aircast Boot and experiencing a lot of pain even in sitting position which had not been a problem with the initial injury.
I will be most grateful if you could look into the concerns that I am raising as this is very important that anyone in my situation does not have a similar experience.
