I have been a victim of fraudulent activities and breach of contract by GeekLurn in connection with their Data Science Architect Program Courses.
I am writing to bring to your attention the fraudulent activities and breach of contract by
GeekLurn Edutech Services Pvt. Ltd. in connection with their Data Science Architect Program Courses. I enrolled in the program in May 2022 for a total cost of
Rs. 2, 78, 000/-. In order to pay the fees for the program, I was introduced to
Neev Credit Private Limited by
GeekLurn Edutech Services Pvt. Ltd to avail an educational loan.
I signed a loan agreement with
Neev Credit Private Limited based on certain terms and conditions promised by
GeekLurn Edutech Services Pvt. Ltd. The terms and conditions, which were provided in writing via email, stated that
GeekLurn Edutech Services Pvt. Ltd would be exempt from paying their monthly EMI until I secure employment within 24 months of completing the course, under the
GeekLurn EMI exemption offer scheme. As a part of this scheme, GeekLurn would provide support to repay the EMIs in the form of scholarships, which would be deposited into my bank account from which the EMI would be debited.
I did my due diligence on all the terms and conditions and entered into an agreement for availing of the loan services offered by
NEEV CREDIT PRIVATE LIMITED. As per the terms and conditions mentioned by
GeekLurn in writing via email,
GeekLurn is responsible for the payment of EMI.
GeekLurn duly paid the EMI of the loan till February 2023, but in the month of February 2023, GeekLurn notified me through email that all the students, including me, have to complete the attendance of 80% for scholarships and in order to comply with the same, I attended all the online classes.
However, I have faced several issues with the course and the services provided by GeekLurn, which has led me to request the cancellation of the program and the loan foreclosure
The following are the key points that support this assertion:
Reason for GeekLurn - Data Science Architect Program Courses Cancellation:
1. GeekLurn made false commitments and promises to me, which they did not fulfill.
2. Despite attempting to communicate with the GeekLurn team through various channels such as email, phone calls, WhatsApp messages, and social media comments, you did not receive any response from them.
3. GeekLurn did not respond to my legal notice, which suggests that they are not willing to address your concerns.
4. I did not receive any updates on classes in the past two months, and the last live class for Batch-32 was held on April 25, 2023. This lack of communication is concerning, and it appears that GeekLurn has failed to fulfill its obligation to provide you with regular classes.
5. Scholarship payments were not made for two months, and there is no fixed timeline for when they will be paid.
6. Neev Finance Partners are sending reminder emails for EMI payments, which suggests that GeekLurn has not fulfilled its obligation to pay these EMI payments.
7. GeekLurn is changing its policies and roles frequently, which suggests that they are not interested in paying the scholarship amount.
8. GeekLurn has requested you to sign a new agreement even though you have already signed an agreement before enrolling in the DSAP course. They are threatening not to pay the EMI payments if you do not sign the new agreement, which is concerning.
9. The GeekLurn team has mismanaged its obligations by not providing prior updates on classes and notifications, which suggests a lack of professionalism and accountability.
10. The syllabus was not completed within the fixed time period, despite spending one year with GeekLurn. Other modules are still pending, which suggests that GeekLurn has not fulfilled its obligation to provide a comprehensive course curriculum.
11. There is no attendance record for students, which is concerning and suggests a lack of accountability on the part of GeekLurn.
12. There were wrong questions on the assessment (online test exam), which suggests that GeekLurn has not taken proper measures to ensure the quality of its educational material.
13. More than 1841+ students are suffering from similar problems, which suggests that GeekLurn has a history of fraudulent activities and breach of contract.
14. I have been mentally harassed and have wasted one year of your time, which has resulted in significant financial and emotional distress.
Based on these points, it appears that GeekLurn has engaged in fraudulent activities and has breached its contractual obligations to you as a student. It is recommended that you seek legal assistance to pursue a legal complaint against GeekLurn for their actions.
