I am writing to lodge a complaint against GoAir Airlines for forcing us to use the credit shell instead of doing a full transfer to our mode of payment when GoAir chose to cancel our international flight to Male from Pune dated 19 Dec 2021.
The details are as follows-

Post the cancellation by GoAir, they took the liberty to book the ticket without our consent as below and sent us the itinerary. The flight timings are not at all matching, we are quite surprised how did GoAir think that flying to Male is possible when the flight to Bangalore will only reach at 13:00 Hours and the departing flight to Male leaves at 12.50.
We had a chat with the GoAir support team regarding the same ( call recording is available ) where they apologized and asked if they would like us to go either for a full-refund or a re-booking to which we explained we would like to go for a full-refund and the executive confirmed that they would do a full-refund to our original mode of payment.
Today as on 25th December 2021, we contacted GoAir to know that we have the only option as "Credit Shell" to get our refund after spending over 3 hours on call with them. GoAir is forcing us to use the credit shell while we have incurred losses in re-doing all the trip planning and paying extra to the resort stays included. Moreover, in the light of current COVID situations with Omicron, we are unlikely to travel domestically or internationally using GoAir. How is this even sensible to force a consumer to choose to fly in order to use the refund amount pushed into the credit shell ( which is highly immoral and unethical from the consumer behavior point of view )
We simply would like to have the amount refunded to our original mode of payment. And request your assistance in order to deal this with the GoAir airline. Please let us know how we proceed with this.
