I bought the health policy no-4128i/hppr/81726754/03/000 in 2013. At the time of buying the policy it was clearly told us that maternity benefit are covered under the policy. I have been paying the premium since 5 years. Now when i tried for maternity claim, it is denied stating that in order to get the claim policy must be of floater in nature and it should be jointly served with the husband. But no one is last 5 years has even bothered to informed us about this clause. Everytime the renewal is due people are calling 10-15 times a day but now no one is ready to revert on the concern raised by me. Would like to receive any evidence where it is informed to us, as every time i call to customer care, my call gets recorded for training & quality purpose. Would like to understand why a customer should suffer because your sales team hasnt provided the proper information to the customer.
This is absolutely bizzare that you can issue a policy to a married lady without informing her that she will not get the benefit of maternity claim if her husband in the copayer in the policy.
