Paras Hospital Gurgaon — Killed my Nanaji with a motive to make money

I am writing this review with sorrow and lot of pain. This is to make the people aware about the fraudulant practices going at Paras Hospital Gurgaon . I am sharing horrible experience at Paras Hospital Gurgaon. My nanaji consulted Dr Bharat Kukreti at Paras Hospital Gurgaon. He diagnosed him and suggested to undergo ECG. When ECG was done he found out that there was missing pulse. He suggested him to undergo surgery and install ICD device. The device cost a whopping Rs 5 lakh.He told us that there is no other alternative. He told us that the hospital will get the device from London and after installing the device he would be alright. He frightened us that if we do not install the device then there is danger to his life. We all got scared after listening this and decided we would do whatever it takes to save his life. Then we got him admitted in the hospital. One thing came to us as a shock that the doctor we consulted Dr Bharat Kukreti was making excuse of performing the surgery. He told us that he is having slip disk problem and can’t even stand properly and Dr Tapan Ghosh will be performing surgery. We told Dr Bharat that we consulted you and request Dr Bharat to perform surgery. He started making excuses and told us not to worry my nanaji is in safe hands and have faith in Dr Tapan Ghosh. Then surgery was performed and they installed the ICD. The next day my nanaji was discharged. After installing the ICD device the next day onwards he started facing complications. He started feeling breathless and had body ache. His arms and legs were swelling. We informed Dr Bharat about this and he told us not to worry it is minor problem. On the 6th day after installing ICD device we informed Dr Bharat Kukreti about his condition and told him that he is facing complications and his whole body had swollen and his urine output is decreasing. He told us don’t worry and advised us to get Potassium and Sodium test done . We got his test done from Dr Lal Path Lab and got the reports. His reports were fine and informed Dr Bharat. On the 7th day my nanaji was facing problems with high blood pressure and high pulse rate. We informed Dr Bharat Kukreti about his condition and he suggested us to get him admitted. We called the Paras Hospital ambulance. The Ambulence took 3hrs to reach my destination. I was shocked to see the inefficiency of the ambulance. The staff of ambulance is very much unprofessional. Don’t know basic requirement of patient being transferred. No ethics poor ambulance service. I asked ambulance that why it took 3 hrs to reach my destination. I told them my place is 7 min drive from hospital. They started giving excuses . The hospital was deserted at night with hardly anyone on call. The night doctors and staff were unprofessional. Nurses couldn’t find his vein and kept poking him with needle repeatedly. It was a nightmare. Then he was taken to ICU. On the next morning Dr Bharat Kukreti came for visit and told us that he is stable now and when asked him shall we meet him he told us that let him relax for awhile. After waiting all day in their ICU waiting room at night I took permission to see him but night duty doctor refused to give permission. He was very rude. Don’t have manner to talk to visitors. I even saw him scolding senior citizen who came to visit their patient. On the 3rd day they conducted his tests and found that potassium level is very low. He informed us about low potassium level we told him that we conducted the same test 4 days ago from Dr Lal Path Lab and saw him the reports . He compared the reports and he told us don’t worry there must some error in reports generated by Paras Hospital. One has to wonder about the credibility of the Paras Lab. I suspect that Paras even changes the reports . On the 6th day Dr Bharat told us that my nanaji condition is becoming critical and his kidney functioning is deteriorating and handed over the case to Dr PN Gupta. Dr PN Gupta was very unprofessional and careless doctor. He suggested dialysis. My nanaji went through dialysis 5 times and eventually his kidney failed. The doctors were transferring cases to one another. We asked Dr Bharat that if it is due to ICD Machine that his condition had become critical. He got nervous and was speechless we asked him can the ICD machine be taken out. He said no the ICD machine cannot be taken out and they can’t perform his Xray and MIR due to ICD device. While waiting in the ICU waiting area I talked to a lady who told me that her husband is on ventilator for the past 8 months and told me that while performing operation her husband nerve got cut. He can’t breathe on his own. The Hospital had made a bill of Rs 47 lakhs till now and kept him all alone in a secret ward. I was shocked to hear this incident. The lady told me that everyday she came to hospital from Faridabad. I was shocked to hear the reviews of Paras Hospital from people . There were many incidence where patient had to lost his life because of negligence and mishandling by doctors. I fear what could useless could do to finish precious life. They are money minded people and don’t take age factor into consideration. Paras Hospital knows the trick to increase procedure and hospital stay. In ICU visit by senior doctors to the ward are rare and unpredictable and most of the time attendants end up coordinating and following up with them on next step. Coordination among doctors is totally lacking. Doctors simply have no time to step out of OPD for quick review of situation he sends someone else indeed. On the 14th day in the ICU my nanaji got expired. He passed away with tears in his eyes. That moment still triggers in my mind . Every moment I regret this incidence. At the time of billing they made bill of RS 11 lakhs. After making payment we asked for the body they said that they needed to perform surgery to remove ICD device otherwise it could explode like a bomb. I was shocked to hear this thing. At paras hospital one has to be very careful especially with serious surgerical complications. At Paras patient undergoes painful procedure that are unnecessary and cost life. They are money minded people and don’t take age factor into consideration. Beware it is just a money making machine and you will be looted for all unexpected expenses you can’t think of. Paras Hospital is a graveyard for patients .If you want to live don’t ever go to Paras Hospital. Iurge people to totally boycott Paras Hospital it is a disaster, a hallmark of ineffiency and incompetence. Come ahead and raise your voice to save human life.
