[Resolved] Prestige Smart Kitchen — faulty product, Improper service and conduct of Pune service center | |||
We purchased a 4 burner set from prestige counter at Pune furniture & home exhibition (utsav 2014). When we started using the burner, we found that the burner utensil stands were not even which caused utensils to shake. We complained of the same and after a lot of follow ups a customer service guy turned up (roughly after 2-3 weeks of reporting the issue). He tried to mold the stands into position but failed and conceded that a replacement would be needed. As this was under warranty we asked for a replacement. We reached Mr. Vaibhav who promised us replacement in 2 week's time. After following up, this was extended by another week. After multiple follow ups, finally after 1 month a customer care representative Mr. Shankar turned up. Despite us being told that he would reach some time during the day, he turned up well after 7pm. Again the stands were not straight. He tried to straighten them and as we were fed up, we accepted the stands as they were better than the previous ones, though not perfect. We showed him the warranty & bill receipt, but he insisted on a Xerox.We asked him to either take a pic or note down the bill & product details.He insisted on a Xerox. As it was around 8 Pm & there was no Xerox center at walking distance, I refused to get the Xerox done & asked him to take a pic or note the details or get the Xerox done himself. Also I gave him an option to collect the Xerox the next day or whenever he visited this side. He was adamant for a Xerox. After some arguments he asked us to give the documents to him and he volunteered get the Xerox done & return the documents. Later on, upon being called he (Shankar) told us that he will not return the documents & asked us to collect the same from service center. I called up Vaibhav and reported the issue to him. He promised to send the document the next day but it has been 40 days and he has not sent the same. He called up 2 times in this duration to confirm if we are at home and if he can deliver the documents. I have since stopped following up as no one showed up either of the times. This is the worst service I have encountered. I would dissuade everyone from buying prestige products, despite any amount of 'biwi se pyaar'. Adding nos. of the 2 prestige representatives as I do not know their surnames. If you happen to buy prestige avoid taking service from these, especially Shankar.
