What you have written is actually the story of the real estate sector in India. It is unfortunate but it is true. I am afraid with COVID19 settling in, the developers will again get the excuse to justify the delay and the nonpayment of refunds. I think at this point in time, the developer should come forward and communicate with the investors. The developer should tell the buyers and investors the actual story and draft a midway to help each other. I am happy that there are some developers here in Delhi NCR who have adopted this method. They are talking to their investors and giving them options to balance out the return amount from the overall payable sum.
Buyers and developers have a contractual relationship and both of them should respect that. I hope your builder understands this. The soon the better. All the best to you!

I am losing out my patience and really wish to hit such guys hard such that they would be thrown out of this business forever, severely punished and penalised for this misdeed and dishonesty.
