A green line started to appear on my screen all of sudden after July 2023 software update. I went through Samsung members community and have seen too many plus mobile users faced the same issue and it seems the lines are getting worse day by day. Most of those devices were just out of warranty period. Samsung though well aware of the fact that the issue was due to faulty software/hardware on Galaxy Fold 2 5G mobiles from their side haven't acknowledged publicly but instructed their service centers to replace faulty hardware for free only if their own set of rules are met though out of warranty. I Went to Samsung service center the same day of the software update and there center they inspected my mobile and notified me that my device had couple of scratches/micro level dents on the frame and Samsung didn't approve for replacement of their faulty hardware on my mobile phone. The scratch/micro dent on the frame are entirely unrelated to green line on the screen and it is very unfair that Samsung didn't publicly acknowledged their mistake and making almost everyone like me to pay for the mistake they have done. I have appealed multiple times to the samsung customer care service asking them to escalate it to their higher level authorities and all those came up with same reason citing the scratches that I have to pay more than INR 45000 for the defect they have introduced without any negotiation which is unfair. A flagship priced mobile phone bought for INR 1, 25, 000 and above if doesn't even last for more than 1.5 years due to the fault introduced by the Manufacturer and the Manufacturer doesn't even hold the responsibility though aware of their mistake, then it is the matter to be brought before justice to make them treat their customers fair enough.
