I hold Savings A/c number[protected] with Punjab National Bank (formerly held with UBI prior to amalgamation). I tried to withdraw INR 10, 000 at the Kalkaji ATM of Punjab National Bank on November 7, 2020 at 16:33 hours. The transaction failed (due to “time out” error) and the ATM did not dispense any cash.
Shortly thereafter, I received a SMS message stating that INR 10, 000 had been debited from my account at the Kalkaji ATM. I complained to the customer service department (Complaint Number REF[protected]) and was assured that the funds would be credited to my account within 4 working days. More than 4 working days have elapsed since my complaint however the incorrect debit has not been reversed yet.
The amount debited represents more than half of my monthly salary and I am extremely anguished due to this incorrect debit.
