Updated by Taher Barodawala I wish to express delight in informing that the complaint was resolved in a timely manner. Appreciation goes out to all those involved on this forum to get this resolved (I wish I knew their names).
I had dropped a complaint on corporate.[protected]@vodafone.com and received the following email today(29th May 2015):

We assure you that, necessary steps have been initiated to give you a better service experience in your next interaction with Vodafone.
