My daughter who flies every month between Delhi to Gawuahati faces delayed departure without a miss if it's air Asia at Gawuahati . But this time it was worse as she was booked for the 6.10am flight to Gawuahati on 12th Oct which was clubbed with 5.25Pm flight same day by a SMS from air Asia six days in advance. However that was not all, when she reached airport during afternoon she was told that the flight is further delayed till 7.10pm without sending any SMS or intimations. She argued that as it is the entire day is wasted but arriving at close to 10pm at Gawuahati airport & taking a cab to her hostel 30kms away is risky & that's the reason why she chooses a morning flight. She requested for some assistance in the way of lady staff at Gauahati airport to accompany her to her destination for safety reasons but air Asia staff showed no concern what so ever or no senior officers showed up to accommodate her in next morning flight. All this for a ticket costing excess of Rs.6000/-. I feel dismayed at air Asia staff at IGI airport & wish they would help a young girl genuinely asking for help on safety reasons purely due to airlines fault.
