This is to inform that 7 members of our family namely:
Kawaljeet singh/loveleen kaur / surveen kaur / taranjeet singh / amarjeet kaur / sirjan kaur & prabhgun kaur, were travelling from goa to new delhi via airasia flight - i5 799 on saturday 2nd june, 2018.
We had pre booked our meals to be served during the flight and it had some non-vegetarian meals as well. On the flight it was announced that all no-vegetarian meals are halaal. Since we belong to sikh religion so we are not allowed to have halaal food hence we requested the cabin crew in-charge to kindly replace the non-veg items with veg meals. She denied the request point blank and was not ready to cooperate at all. Her behavior was totally unacceptable but keeping in mind the privacy of fellow travelers and decency of travel etiquette we didn't create any kind of nuisance in the aircraft.
First of all if you are serving such food items during the flights then this should have been mentioned in ordering list when the travelers are pre booking there meals for the flight so that this kind of situation doesn't arise at all. We have travelled to goa on 28th afternoon via flight no. I5 775 and food was served on that also and now that we have come to know that air asia is serving halaal food.
We are deeply hurt on our religious sentiments and this kind of behavior of the cabin crew especially the in-charge in not acceptable at all. There were children travelling with us and they were left hungry for no fault of ours. We are planning to take this matter dgca and consumer court as well if we are getting proper reply as well as apology from air asia.
We hereby request you to take strict disciplinary action against the person concerned and refund of our money we had paid for our meals.
Thanking you.
Yours truly,
Kawaljeet singh Was this information helpful? |
