I am travelling by spicejet flight on 30.11.2018 from varanasi airport. At the security check my handbag after scanning was found to contain metallic items (Which was detected on screen as spoon). I was asked to remove all metallic items specifically my jewellery box, mobiles, pens, one spoon that was found on manual search, in addition to my money bag. I was asked to keep these items loose on the tray which was again sent for scan. I do not understand why this was required. When the person at security check counter can see for herself what these items were, what was the need for scanning it separately. How can one be sure that items have not been removed from my jewellery box or money taken out of my money bag.in addition the security staff behaved in a very aggressive and impolite manner which i have never witnessed in any other airport in india and abroad. I have been travelling by air for last 30years. The staff on duty at around 540pm on 30.11.2018 included a lady named ms deepali kaushik and another lady whose behaviour was extremely improper.
I request you to look into this matter and stop the harassment of passengers and take necessary action. Was this information helpful? |
Your complaint relate to the exessive, according to you, measures during security check .
To examine the compliance of the security measure with the law is the competence of a public prosecutor o[censored]tar Pradesh for events in the Varanacy airport.
I hardly believe that it can be done effectively and fairly in UP.
So, in case of the strong personal dissatisfaction, you can hire a lawer who can commence a legal procedure in your favour in the future. Noone can predict how long time such procedure will take and what the financial outcome will be in such unidentified sircumstances,
without your detailed complaint with the dates/place, 1st reply/decision of the Varancacy aviation authority according to you.
