Hello
I was on the way to my workplace today, when i heard a snap from the front wheel. The front brake lever, at the same time, started to feel loose. I stopped my bike near a shop and got off to investigate, when i saw that the abs cable had been sheared off completely. When i switched on the ignition, the red abs signal light was on. I tied up the broken ends with insulation tape and somehow rode on. The brakes work, but the abs has gone offline. Additionally, there a strange squeaking noise from both the front and rear wheels. I would like someone to look into this matter. I bought the d-400 abs specifically for the edge it had over the non-abs version in terms of safety. What if it had happened on a weekend ride? Worse yet, what if the cable snapped when i was in an emergency? Would i not have lost my life?
