Bangalore Water Supply & Sewerage Board [Bwssb] — bill payment through e c s mode

Address: 32 LIC model housing colony, 3rd stage 4th block basaveshwaranagar, 560079

All these days nearly 8 to nine years monthly water bills were being paid through ecs. Now these facility has been stopped without any information.in monthly bill arrears are shown. When inquired i came to know that ecs has been discontinued and i must pay in cash or cheque.
I would like to know whether this ecs facility has been withdrawn and for what reason
For sr citizens like this was a boon instead of worrying about the payment
Now does board expect me to go to the office every month to pay the bill
