Dear Sir/Madam -
We live at #894, 19th Main Road, BSK 2nd stage, Bangalore -70. Periodically, the sewer pipe that from our home to the main drainage pipe gets clogged causing overflow of the sewage within our home creating very unsanitary and unsafe conditions for us and the neighbors along with foul stench.
The root cause has be found to be a clog at the main sewage line along 19th main road at the intersection of 20th cross (the road that goes to Devagiri temple) which is about 2 houses down the road from where we live. This problem has persisted for the last 10+ years and every time we have this problem, we have had to get BWSSB to flush the sewer periodically. This only gives us temporary relief, the problem comes back once there is a build up along these sewer lines after next 3-4 months.
We are at the whim and mercy of the local BWSSB servicemen/servicewomen, . Sometimes this gets resolved quickly, most of the time we have to beg for days before anything can happen and pay out of pocket for services that should really be responsibility of BWSSB.
One possible solution seems to be replacing the sewer line along this section of 19th main road with a bigger sewage pipe. But I defer this to your expertise, I am not sure how this could be resolved - but at least someone looking at the cause of this problem will be a good first step to solving this issue for all the citizens in this neighborhood.
Thanks for your attention and I am hoping someone will look at this issue. Was this information helpful? |
