Bbmp Street Lights — street light not working

Street light is not functioning since a decade at No:2569, 13th cross, 27th main, HSR Layout, sector 1, Bangalore 560102.

There was an attempt of chain snatching yesterday since the place was dark.

We had raised a online complaint in the portal last year but still now no resolution is been found.

Dear Authorities
One of the Street light is not working from months at 4th main 3rd cross RBI layout JP Nagar 7 phase .
Please rectify this at the earliest. The place has park at adjacent and there are safety issues and attempts to utilize this darkness for untoward incidents
. Please help.

It seems that more than half the streetlights are not functioning throughout the city. Particularly, am focussing now on many stretches of the Airport Road, and surrounding areas, including Byatarayanapura, Jakkur Plantation Road as well as on NITTE College Road near Bagalur Cross (beyond Yelahanka). The condition is the same since lockdown begun, and even now, the situation is the same. Nobody seems to attend to the problem. Worse still, is that even newspapers fail to respond to my complaint. I even googled and youtubed to find out, but am unable to know why this problem persists, which is affecting millions of people in the city.
I urge the BBMP to look into the matter and sort this out at the earliest to avoid any untoward incidents (like accidents and rowdyism).

The SV street lamp opposite to my house is not working since the last last one week. Presenting a pitched dark condition and unsafe more so in the lockdown. My efforts by way of sms etc have not yielded results.

I Mr.Murali.N Advocate, the resident of Gayhtrinagara-560021, have been seeing most of the street lights in the city and the ward wide operators of the street lights not working properly and they do not switch them off in time. I have been informing them about this repeatedly but they have not resolved the problem yet. Gaythrinagara, Bengaluru-560021 and surrounding places.

The street lights on 1st main road, opposite Skyline city Apartments is missing for a few months. Just one street light is working. It is dangerous for old people, women and children and road is also in bad shape with lot of potholes and uneven road, due to BESCOm, BWSSD continuous improvement activities. There are lot dogs which are barking throughout the night. Even dogs attack people at night.
At least good lighting of the road can reduce accidents and also attack by bad elements especially at night.
Many people use footpath to small gatherings and drinking alcohal.
Even trees are hindering the lighting from street lighting what ever is working.
Request your kind attention to solve the problems as soon as possible.
We know BESCOM is in lot of stress due to Pandemic.

Two Nos. Street Lights are not working in 2nd Main adjacent to Sri Nirvana Bhagavathi Bhktha Mandali Trust Compound in Byrasandra, Jayanagara East, Bangalore - 11.
