I want to summarize the details of fraud happened to me. I thought this call was just like another buyer for my fridge from quikr.
I had put an Ad on Quikr for selling a fridge for Rs 36000. BharatPe customer : bharatpe.[protected]@yesbank-YESB0000480 (ph no: [protected]) made an offer of Rs. 35000 on 18th Nov.
I accepted the offer and called him on 19th Nov, he told he will transfer the amount and send request for Rs.1 and 5 I paid him that and I protested telling that my Google pay account is getting debited, he told me it works that way and transferred me Rs 11 (from his google pay).
So then when send a request for Rs. 35000, made the transaction and the amount got debited from my account. I told him to return the money.
He again send another request for 70000 - telling that since the money got deducted he is paying me my 35000 + 35000 for the fridge. Somehow I did not get convinced and the request got expired.
But then my 35000 got stuck right, so he again kept telling that he will send the request and I need to pay so that it will come to my bank account.
He send a request of Rs. 60000 this time and same thing repeated and I lost 60000 now. He kept telling he is checking with bank and asked me not to raise a complain, he will return asap.
Then he called me back and told that he contacted BharatPe customer care and they informed to make small payments. So he told he will send me 4500. And again send me request, and told this time I will get money but I lost again.
So total 99500, it was a total fraud, I had raised a case on this with Cyber crime and raised complain to bank and UPI.
I will share the google pay screen shot and which ever evidence required. Please see how cheating and fraud is done, please investigate this crime, such people should be behind bars for cheating and frauds. All i wanted was to see my fridge but caught in hands of such scammers.
Kindly help rectify this and refund my money.
