I am a profit club member of big bazaar since 2019. My card no. - [protected]. On june 2020, when i checked my card balance on my future pay app, it showed rs. 1243/- in my account. After a few days when i checked my balance in july 2020, on my future pay app it showed rs.17.50 in my account. To know about the missing details i visited the nearest big bazaar outlet which is at krishna plaza, bhubaneswar, odisha. On reaching out to the customer care at that store, they checked my card & said that my card has expired in july 2020. When i asked about the money, they said that the money is gone and they won’t be able to retrieve it. The people in charge there told me that since i haven’t used my card within the time period it’s now useless nothing can be done. I told them that when i had visited their outlet last 2 times in may and june, every time i asked the person at the counter if i could use my profit club card for billing, they said no. When the store manager was asked about the same, he denied of being aware of any such fact. He even told that delivery services was being done and we could have ordered online or through call, but the fact is i had tried calling them not just once or twice but for many times a day for an entire week during may 2020. The store manager also said that the store was always open whereas i had visited the store on several occasions just to find it shut down. I even have received messages from big bazaar in april, saying that due to covid-19, the profit club card won’t be useful at present. When i asked about this to the store manager, he denied of it as well.
Also no prior notice was given by big bazaar or future pay group regarding the expiry of my card or that my money will be nil if i don’t use it, by any means of sms, mail, etc. Again the store was closed for 2 months as per government order.
Under this circumstance, i want my money back in my wallet, so that i can spend in the store. Was this information helpful? |
