My X5 SUV MH01 AH 3697 was given to resolve poor AC performance and replacing right air spring on 19/09/2016 which was given back to me on 01/10/16 with no AC issue resolved. It was recommended that AC Air controller unit was faulty and once it is renewed then AC will work efficiently. There was no explanation or update on why it had taken such long time for job which should have been done in 2-3 days other than we are sorry. Lot of inconvenience was caused to me plus AC performance became worse thereafter.
Further more, I asked supervisor prior ordering AC air controller unit if it will resolve AC efficiency problem or only erratic AC air flow would be resolved. I was told that AC was not working efficiently due to controller issue and it will be resolved. I told supervisor that no cure no pay and asked to get AC controller parts. Car was again given to service centre for resolving AC job on 08/11/2016. I was called again on 9th saying job was done and AC working efficiently. I checked and found that erratic flow of AC air flow was rectified but AC performance was poor and was same as before. The outside temperature was 27 Deg.C and Car Cabin temperature was 25 Deg.C . Portable Temperature sensor was showing 20 Deg.C in dashboard flap at lowest AC temperature setting of 16 Deg.C. Supervisor and technician argued with me that AC is working fine. I said, nothing doing, unless temperature in dashboard flap shows between 4 to 8 Deg.C at medium AC airflow, I will not accept. They said, they will check again. I told them that I would like to meet Manager for such poor service and not listening to customer. Next day on 10th PM again I was called saying it is working fine. On checking with temperature sensor in dash board flap and 25 Deg.C cabin temperature, 18 Deg.C inside dash board AC flap was observed when outside temperature was 27 Deg, C. Supervisor was adamant that AC is working fine as per them. I requested for work manager to come and check. She also said AC is Ok. Nobody was understanding or willing to understand that AC was not working properly. Then Controller incharge was called who could hear my point of view. I asked him to get other X5 and check temperature. It was done and observed that inside dashboard AC flap, it was showing 4.3 Deg.C temperature and cabin was cooled. Then they agreed that there is AC issue but fault finding machine was not showing anything wrong. I told them that it is AC heat exchange issue most likely and they need to clean externally condenser and go further fault finding. What surprised me was that in such big service centre, there was no AC specialist technician and everybody was supposed to know bit but found none knowing how Ac works and how efficiency can deteriorate if certain part has issue. Today is 13th and I am awaiting for feedback which they never give. You have to be behind them, I think, roadside garage can give better service than them and serious review is necessary.
