I have signed the Buyer’s Agreement with Bricmor Developers (Builder Company) on 11th July, 2015 for Villa #45 in Bricmor's LaHacienda gated community. It was a commitment by the company that possession will be handed over in 18 months. Thereafter, it was told that by the end of 6 months (Extension date, if any), the possession will be given. However, the possession of the unit was never delivered even after the expiry of the extension date (11th July 2017).
I am sorry to say but the company has failed to keep its commitment and has lost the customer's faith as it has delayed the possession of the said unit innumerable times and there seems to be no deadline to this project. I have paid 100% of the amount and paying interest on it every month to the bank which is causing me a substantial financial burden.
I also would like to bring to your attention that HMDA approved this project (
Letter. No.101966/GHSLO/ORRGC/Pig/HMDA/2013) while the project had many land disputes. A portion of the land was not even registered nor had a development agreement with the land owners. This resulted in project being stalled by land owners for more than 5 years.While majority of land disputes are resolved, there is one still pending and that resulted in builder not building 3 villas.
Due to all these, builder has not completed a majority of common infra works including compundwall, water, roads, electricity, gate etc.. none of the individual villas are completed. I have been constantly following up with no result.
Need HMDA to act on the builder and use its good offices to put pressure on the builder to complete the project. Was this information helpful? |
