I purchased 4 Brigdestone sturdo tyres 195/60R15 (unconditional warranty) for my Toyota Corolla from an Authorised Dealer in Jamnagar, Gujarat on 14. The fitment was done by dealers outlet. My car was run on Highways and Good Roads for 11500 kms approx.
Recently on 17/06/24, just within 11 months of purchase and usage of 11500 Kms, I experienced on bumpy and uncontrolled drive, I made a stop to a tyre shop and got my tyres examined and was inform that my front right side tyre has developed a side wall bubble of almost 2.5 mm in radius.
I contacted the dealer (the tyre had unconditional warranty) where I had made a purchase and I examined the tyre measured the wear of type and said that the tyre has 36% of ware and had to pay 2691 Rs to get my tyre replaced.
The suggested cost was summing upto 40.77% of the tyre cost and its truly unacceptable.
During purchase I was said that Bridgestone Strudo Tyres have average lifespan of[protected]kms when are used in maintained conditions.
As per that claims my tyres fall in 8-9% o[censored]sage category.
I just wonder a MNC company having high degrees of quality control certificates can deal their customer world wide in such a way without conceding manufacturing defect by passing the bucks to customer.
Whats the use o[censored]nconditional warranty when the customer needs to pay hefty amount for the manufacturing defects of company.
