I am holder of house no 2/8, old rajender nagar (Gf) which is registered in my mother's name, smt dholi ben and which i have given out on rent
On 7th september 2016, i received a call from one mr veer singh from bses office on shanker road saying that bses wants to shift my electricity meter to the outside of my premises because as per bses rules it is not allowed to have the meter inside the premises
No such rule is mentioned anywhere on their website or at the branch office in writing
I was instructed to visit the bses office on shanker road and submit an application form for shifting of the meter which i did so on 2nd february 2016
I was also informed by the counter staff at the bses office that there is no charge for the shifting of the meter
The meter was subsequently shifted by bses on 12th february at a distance of less than 6 feet in the presence of my tenant
No extra cable or wire was used for the shifting process
I have now received my electricity bill for march 2016 in which bses has charged me rs 2500/- for the shifting of the meter
I have queried at the bses office and they are saying that i requested for the shifting which is not the case
No manager is ever present to meet and online complaint system at the bses website doesnt work
They are also saying that they charge that amount for shifting process which was not informed to me at any time and neither are any such charges mentioned by bses either on their website or at the office
I would like to make a case against them for being wrongly charged and misled by bses and request for a refund of the rs 2500 charged by them Was this information helpful? |
