I was forced to change my existing domestic water meter to a new one and ever since the change I have received exorbitant water charges. My water consumption remains the same as before, but with the new meter the readings have tripled! The new meter continuously runs, even when there is no water supply. In Wilson Garden we are given water every alternate days & on days when there is no water supply the meter still functions (rotates). Even when there is a supply on alternate days it is only for a few hours (about 3 to 5 hours) that water incomes & that too during very odd hours (past midnight), & water collets only in my underground sump tank! My RR # SE223910/H7 - 156. With my old meter in place I used to get a bill amount of Rs.400/- to Rs.600/-, but now with the new meter I get an amount of Rs.2500/- to Rs.2600/-?
Every month the meter reading man asks me to change some equipment or other which we do, to no avail!
Please have my meter rechecked & kindly take necessary steps to rectify the faulty meter.
