I am writing this to inform you that I want to cancel my daughter Byju's subscription to the class 9, and 10 tablet courses immediately.
From Byju's team, Mr. Yasarapu Devarajulu (Mobile no: +91-[protected] because I don't know his ID number) visited our house for a product demo in the month of January 2022. He told us about the product and he put us under pressure and made us pay for 9 & 10 class fees (Rs. 5000 for admission and 50000 EMI).
After a few days, I received the Byju's tablet course for my daughter on 5th March 2022 after that my daughter tried to attend classes but not even one class running on the tablet and she immediately told me that she do not want the Byju's product and she is not showing interest anymore to attend online classes.
So, as per BYJUS Refund Policy,
All Test Preparation course products (CAT/IAS/GATE/UGC-NET/CDS/NDA/CSIR-NET/STATE PSC) come with a trial period of 7 days and school learning products come with a trial period of 15 days. Within 15 days of delivery, you can refund the product in case you do not like it.
I have requested for cancellation within 15 days, I called BYJUS Associate & I informed him to cancel the course and stop the auto EMI payment deduction immediately but he gave some excuses and didn’t respond properly, later he switched off his mobile phone and also, I even raised a complaint on customer helpline number within 15 days trial period through call regarding this but no proper response yet.
When I contacted your representatives via your Byjus customer helpline number, I told them I want to cancel the course and stop this auto EMI payment deduction process immediately. To which they replied, “Is there any other query? No? Okay thanks” and disconnected the phone.
Again, I called your Byju's customer helpline number, I told them the reasons why I want to cancel the course and stop this auto EMI payment deduction as soon as possible. This time your representatives accepted that it was their fault, and they said I will get a call back from the concerned person/manager within 24 to 48 hours but it’s more than two months Since then, I haven’t received any other call.
As per your Byju's policy, Initially, I paid Rs.5000/- through my phone pay. After that EMI auto-debit process started on 5th March 2022 through my account. From that month for 3 months, automatically EMI payment of Rs.4119/- got deducted from my account but my daughter was not able to attend a single class because not even one class is running on Byju's tablet. So, I want to cancel the course and stop this EMI auto-debit process immediately. I don’t want your product anymore even if you say we will rectify the tablet.
Several times, I have called your Byju's customer helpline number and all I was listening to was that I need to wait and I will get a call back from the concerned person/manager.
For the past 4 months[protected] to the till date) I have been contacted by the Byju's cancellation team for product cancellation. But until now I have not received any confirmation for the cancellation of the product from BYJUS. There was no response from the customer service of Byju's when I tried to contact them.
Please kindly help me to cancel the course and stop this EMI payment as soon as possible. Being a middle-class family, the amount of fees that I am paying in installments is not worth the services that you provided by BYJUS and it is bothering me. It is putting huge pressure on my family.
I had so much trust and faith in BYJUS that no matter what, they will help their parents and students throughout. But instead, they are putting a huge burden on me. I would again request the concerned authority to please look through this matter and kindly help me to cancel the table course and stop EMI payment auto-deductions from my bank account. This process may not be a big deal for a reputed institution like BYJUS but for my daughter and me.
I request you to send me a letter of acknowledgement for the cancellation of my subscription and to refund my money back into my account.
