I received a call from BYJU's counselor for a course for children for three years at the cost of Rs 55000/- (discounted due to CSR campaign of company). During counselling session, he told me that if for any reason I do not want to continue the course then I can cancel it anytime and if within 15days I will get 100% refund and after that upto 45days refund of 75% of money paid by me. I choose the course and paid the registration fee of Rs 15000/- on 20 Jul 23. Next day on 21 Jul 23 since my daughter was reluctant to study online due to some reason, I called to the same counselor and told him that I couldn't go with this course and wanted to cancel it right now. The counselor said that first I have to finish the payment of balance 40K or choose to pay as EMI than only the cancellation process will be initiated. I accepted that also and for balance 40K i agreed to pay in EMI through a BYJU's third party financial company. On 26 Jul 23 he told me to mail on [protected]@byjus.com and [protected]@byjus.com which I did on same day. He also told me that do not accept the product delivered by BYJU's which will help in speedy processing of my cancellation request. Believing him I did so. I kept mailing to above mail ID and also to the mail ID of counselor (provided by him). After several call and emails, I got a call from senior manager (Mr Satya) on 13 Aug 23 I told him my concern and ask him to cancel it ASAP and pay the 100% refund. But he told me that first I have to pay due amount of Rs 10750/- of one year course then only my request will be processed further, and company will provide an SD card with preloaded study materials for class 4 (first year). Such terms were never briefed to me by the counselor or anyone from BYJU's earlier. I denied than he said the cancellation will not be processed. If i will go for cancellation, then he will give me the SD card as a good gesture, and nothing will be refunded. At this point, I feel cheated, harassed financially and mentally by BYJU's. What I was told by counselor during first day about refund policy was totally a false statement / promise. And now on 13 Aug 23, the demand of more payment is blackmailing. Also, the call from third party financial company is torturing and disturbing, whereas my cancellation is not pending since 26 Jul 23 (more than 17 days). I request my money back and NOC from BYJU's and ECS cancellation with NOC by financial company. Reason is false policies promised by counselor and not wanted to continue with such fraudulent policies. Was this information helpful? |
