I came across the article in Business Line on "Mis-selling being done by Edtech companies" and i would like to add my complaint to the forum.
I had done admissions for my daughter for Byju's classes (order no. P1-SS03-[protected]) on assurance that admission will be cancelled if not satisfied with product after trial period of 15-30 days for which i had taken a written e-mail, but once we called up the Advisor/ Counsellor (Miss Simran Kousar) she never replied to our calls and purposely delayed the process of cancellations beyond the trial period and after which she told us to mail our cancellation requests, we had been mailing the cancellation team since November 2021 (Complaint Reference ID:[protected] with regular email follow-ups and were replied back saying the request is being processed and whenever we tried calling the helpline numbers we were kept on hold for hours, this had been going on very long and i got a call from Mr. Dinesh Hosmani who represented himself as Senior Manager for cancellations and stated that we were denied refund as we delayed in applying for the cancellation and when i told him that we were in contact with the counsellor Miss. Simran Kousar he asked to show the proof of .
Miss. Simran also mislead us by making us go in for and 0% EMI Scheme and made us take a loan from the Bank, but when we later checked we realized that we were being charged Interest on the same.
We request you to please provide us with a solution and also contact number of any Whatsapp group or parents forum who have been facing similar issues.
