I am writing to bring to your attention a matter of grave concern regarding the refund of my daughter's offline course for the second semester of Class-9 offered by BYJU'S. We had enrolled our daughter with BYJU'S for the offline course at their Memnagar center, which was promised to start after Diwali. However, after Diwali, we received a call for orientation at the Iskon branch, which was located far from our place of residence. As we did not want to continue with the orientation at the Iskon branch, we requested cancellation of the registration.
Subsequently, we were informed that the Memnagar branch had started, and our daughter attended it for one day only. She found that the time wasted during transportation and the course was similar to her online sessions, and she did not want to continue the offline course. Therefore, we requested cancellation of the registration on 25-Nov-22.
Despite multiple emails, visits to the center, and over 50 calls to customer care, we have not received our refund to date. The standard reply that we receive from customer care through email is as follows:
"Thanks for connecting with BYJU'S. We've received and registered your refund request and are doing our best to address it. Our Senior Manager will call you within the next 24 hours to help resolve your concern in the best possible way. We request you to please reply to this email for any further queries, or you can also reach us on +91-[protected]."
It is extremely disappointing and concerning to see such a lack of responsiveness and commitment to resolving the issue at hand. We have been waiting for a considerable amount of time, and the delay in the refund process has caused undue hardship and mental agony. Furthermore, it is disheartening to note that the details available with the customer care and center are not in line with the current technological world.
Therefore, I request your urgent intervention in this matter to ensure that BYJU'S processes the refund of the offline course fee at the earliest. I urge you to expedite the refund process and take necessary steps to ensure that such delays and unresponsive behavior are not repeated in the future.
