On 05/05/2015, i went to carnival cinemas india in great india place (Gip) noida to watch omerta (5:25pm show). While getting the ticket from counter the staff there said that if you are booking seat offline it is mandatory that you avail combo offer (Charging me rs.100 extra for a ticket priced rs.200). I insisted that there is no such notification anywhere but he denied giving me ticket without the food coupon. I called manager and he said there is no such mandate and after that directed the staff at counter to provide tickets without food coupon. When we went back to the counter i found other customers also arguing about the same issue and the staff was still saying to other customers that it is mandatory to avail food coupon. When i told them it is not required the staff says and i quote "you are getting the ticket you want. Don't tell others". What kind of customer experience is carnival cinemas india trying to provide? Is this new way of pushing food coupons and raising revenue for the company?
