Cognizant — application on hold

Hi,

I was interviewed at cognizant, Chennai on 20 July 2019. They said I was selected and would be receiving offer letter by this weekend (HR round also completed), But I got a mail saying my application status is "on hold".It means what? please let me know when will i get my offer
Application on hold means what ?

Place:Chennai, Kandhanchavadi near Apollo hospital
