Cognizant — Job Offer scam?

I was offered a remote data entry specialist position with an employment offer and had an interview with Kurt Nielsen and received emails from Rebecca Schmitt. I was sent 2 checks for cost of home office supplies and software programs. Just wanted to know if this is legit.
