Cognizant Technology Solutions — Joining Date defers constantly

My DOJ defered constantly from Aug 09th to Aug 12th to Aug 23rd to Aug 31st. Beleiving in this I resigned my previous job and for 1 month I am sitting jobless. Will they confirm my DOJ or are they playing with my life.
