I attended for Team Leader -Voice position with my POC as Shridharan Natarajan (Sourcing Lead) for an opening in a Telecom process.
I came in for the interview at 10:30 AM as intstructed, also I had 2 rounds of initial rounds with 2 recruiters. My issue is with the 2nd recruiter who screened me for panel round. Her name is SONIYA. I clearly mentioned her that I have come in for a telecom process called Telstra, but even then she tried to push me for other domains. Finally she assigned me for Healthcare, which is no where related to my previous experiences. The panel recruiter also did not have any clue, as why I was sent for Healthcare domain, as they expect relevant experience for the process. I went through all these and it was 6 PM. Finally I was asked to leave since I did not have prior experience with Healthcare (known fact for SONIYA), though I never applied for Healthcare domain at all.
When I checked the above confusion with SONIYA, she simply says, we do not recruit for any Telecom process. Then for what reason, I was asked to come and sit the whole day. Their screening process was entirely fake.
I escalated this to my so called POC (Shridharan Natarajan) and they accepted their mistake. He said he will get back to me next day to discuss, now its almost a month now.
This kind of recruitment process, was never expected from one of the best multi-national company like Cognizant. Moreover, I am an ex-employee of Cognizant.
This day was like you were pushing the candidates out of the company.
