Hello sir,
Although i am nowhere linked to any of your cognizant offices located across the world, yet i am determined to bring the following issue to your notice because it is the minimum expectation [from public] that a multinational company like yours would deploy people who can speak and respond in english [in a polite manner] irrespective of whatever service that they are offering especially when they are dealing with common public while representing your organization.
It seems your chennai security who stand in front of chennai mepz office to regulate the incoming and outgoing traffic neither speak nor understand english. And this is a serious problem to non locals here who pass by this place every day!
Recently, your security guards started standing in front of chennai mepz office and asking every vehicle that pass by not to stop in front of cognizant premises. They even kept a board which displays 'no parking sign'. However, the irony of the situation is that just beside that board one can see a lot of parked 2 wheelers! So, when i asked about this irony, your security head [wears formal dress; in white shirt] started speaking to me in tamil [local language] though i am conversing in english with him. I asked him whether he knows english. For this question, he replied with another question asking whether i know tamil! After that he kept on saying so many things in tamil, which i could not understand and finally asked me to leave that place. I conveyed my protest to your security head in english but he was not ready to listen and kept on saying things in tamil.
Issue: at first, non-local people don't know tamil. But your security head [this guy is doing duty in front of chennai mepz office in the morning hours wearing formals for the past 3 days; including today] is insisting that people who interacts with him should speak in native language, which is not possible for everyone.
Please note that i am not complaining against your security head here.
I just want to bring this issue to your notice hoping that you respond to this issue in a positive manner and take adequate steps that meet the expectations of the people who look at your organization as one of the top leaders in it industry.
